Boy it's been HOT here in ARIDzona! I've been posting about how hot it's been this summer here in Arizona, but I about laughed myself silly when I saw the day's "high" on my recently installed thermometer. We found out later that the sensor gets direct sunlight in the afternoons so the reading is, shall we say..."slightly" off. ROFL The high that day was actually 114, which is pretty hot, but I don't think it gets this hot anywhere on planet earth! lol However, then, my friend AJ sent me this picture of an Arizona Ice Cream Truck: This is obviously doctored but, hey! After all, it was just 139! ROFL For more communication FUN, visit Art of...
So it was my birthday on Tuesday and my dh called me from work to tell me that he's getting out of work early, not to make dinner and we were going to go out when he got home. Then he calls me from the parking lot of the grocery store to ask if we have white rice. Why? Cuz he's going to cook me dinner! And not just any dinner, mind you, but THE dinner to end all dinners: Seafood Medley! We usually only eat this very special meal once a year when I make it for him on his birthday. Ok he's got my attention! He asks me if I can start the rice for him because he...

A few days ago, I posted about foul language (happily, the lack there of!) when I shared Biblical Word Fun. I got to thinking how funny it would be if you spelled that a little differently. My goofy mind began to run wild and here's what I came up with: Fowl Language It's important that we teach our little chickadees to speak respectfully so they are not pigeon holed into using fowl language consistently. Birds of a feather tend to flock together and one...
This week’s question of the Week: Do you speak Spanish? This Thursday’s Talk Talk Show on the Communication Comedy Network is about the communication differences in the Spanish culture and language. My special guest this week is Michelle Rothwell of Dora and Diego Homeschool Spanish. She and I will discuss the cultural and language differences of those who speak Spanish and why learning Spanish can be exceptionally helpful today! My dh was born in Mexico and is fluent in Spanish. He also speaks a little French and Italian. He says there are some distinct difference in the Mexican culture and the language and I'll be sharing some of his insights. Michelle and I will be having some fun with some...
