Communication FUNdamentals Video Countdown to CHRISTmas continues with one of my favorite versions of "Oh Holy Night" by Celine Dion: Merry CHRISTmas from your friends at Art of Eloquence.com!

It's a tradition here at Communication FUNdamentals that we have a video countdown to CHRISTmas!  Folks find the most insprirational, creative and fun ways to communicate their love for the Lord and their CHRISTmas Spirit.  I find their videos to share with you each year. Some will be old favorites and some will be new.  All will communicate the reason for the season in a fun and creative way. The first in the countdown is Jars of Clay's version of Little Drummer Boy!  This is my favorite version of this song but unfortunately, there isn't much "video" to look at.  Enjoy the song! The other day, at 3am, I was thinking...(I know.  Letting the creative juices flow so early in the morning is bound to bring about some pretty Friday Funny things) that many of the Christmas terms we use might be considered outdated.  This is the 21st Century, modern times, the age of computers!   I wondered what would happen if we took a closer look at these Christmas terms to see how our modern kids might interpret them if they didn't already know what they meant.  For example: Mistletoe: A rocket launched from the front of your Turbo Rocketman Tennis Shoes complete with sound effects and a laser light show! Is Breakin' up really that hard to do? I saw this Allstate commercial where they say they will tell your old insurance company that you are canceling them.  Has confrontation become THAT difficult for folks?  I think it has or they wouldn't have created this commercial. The question of confrontation is included in my Communication Assessment Quiz "Do you shy away from confict?" because many people have told me that they are apprehensive about confrontation in the workplace or between family members or when discussing a political or religious issue with someone.  Others have told me that they are bothered by Ad Day on their Yahoo groups because they feel pressured into buying things they don't want or need.  ...
