I get the strangest questions

A long while back I received an email that came through my website contact form: "hi there - I am trying to find biblical quotes for each subject at school. I am stuck on IT and computing!! Any ideas please? thanks very much" I think I responded with something like, "Are you serious?"  Never heard back from this person. What say you?  Was this a joke or not? ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ If you liked this post, read…Seven Reasons Why YOU Should Sign Up for the Art of Eloquence Newsletter

What I learned talking to my computer

Gundar, our personal Technology Gremlin, has been instrumental in successfully keeping me from communicating effectively with my computer.  I've tried reasoning with it, yelling at it and threatening it with bodily harm.   I even tried sweet-talking it, but here's what I've learned so far about communcating with your computer: 1. Zippy is less than two years old.  We bought him when...

Medieval Help Desk

As we finish our second week of Effective Communication Month, it's time again, for Friday Funnies.  I bring you this YouTube classic video. It is difficult for us non-techies to adjust to new technology and apparently it always was.  It appears, way back in Medieval  Times, they had the same trouble adjusting from scrolls to books as we do from books to computers.  See how, even then, the technical manual was written for folks who already knew how to operate it... x If you liked this post, make sure to subscribe to our RSS Feed so you don’t miss one and SUBSCRIBE to our newsletter: for even MORE communication fun, FREE gifts, Book of the Month Club and exclusive excerpts...
