What's the one skill we all need if we are going to spend more time with our friends and relatives? It's the very same skill needed to improve relationships: Communication! Why? Because you cannot even have a relationship with someone unless you communicate with them in some way. December 26th is National Whiner's Day. While you may think this a rather silly holiday, it does give us a reason to talk about one of the most irritating kinds of communication there is: whining. I love this song! I share it with you on CHRISTmas because CHRISTmas isn't about Santa or family or presents, but it's also not just about baby Jesus or the wise men or the manger. It's about our sin, it's about God's love, it's about the blood that Jesus shed for us. But more than this, the beginning of the story, it's about the cross.
