Do the latest Obama & Romney ads work well?

I haven't seen many Romney ads here in Arizona, but I have seen this one for President Obama quite a lot: I don't think it works well for him. It doesn't say anything about the President, his record, or what he will do.  It attacks Romney for things that many Americans believe are misleading.  Lastly, it blames Mitt Romney for the mess the country is in, but the viewer is left feeling it doesn't follow.  Romney hasn't been in office for the past four years; the President has.  This feels to the viewer as an all-too-obvious shifting of the blame which the President has been accused of many times before. Those who don't support the president, are not swayed by these attacks on Romney's businesses and those who do support him will support him regardless.  Those who are undecided are showing to be pro business and this ad doesn't sway them either. Here's the latest Romney ad: This is very effective, at least as it relates to small business.  It uses President Obama's own words against him and shows Mitt Romney as someone who will represent the average small business owner out there.  It even appeals to others who don't own their own businesses because the polls show that the attacks on Romney by Obama are not working. Check back on Friday for another kind of political ad which is perfect for Friday Funnies.  I only hope it's still there on Friday when my blog post comes out.  You'll see why. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ If you liked this post, read…Seven Reasons Why YOU Should Sign Up for the Art of Eloquence Newsletter

I think we already know what each one would do, but I hear ya. They should talk more about the issues and compare. He would do X and I would do Y. X would cause A and Y would cause B.

I honestly wish they would stop playing games and get down to. . . “My opponent handles this like this. I would handle it differently. Here’s how:” I want to hear about the issues and, quite frankly, I don’t care what’s been done before. Much of that can’t be changed. I want to know how you are going to right the wrongs and make things better in the future. So far, I’ve heard little from either side.
