Today is Friday Funnies and, coincidentally, there have been a few songs/videos through the years that bring humor to CHRISTmas. Making it's second appearance on the countdown is the adorable old song, I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas. We don't do Santa and I know many of you reading don't either, but this is just an adorable song. I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas is a Christmas novelty song written by John Rox and performed by Gayla Peevey (10 years old at the time) in 1953. The song peaked at number 24 on Billboard magazine's pop chart in December 1953. Remember, too, to have fun and build memories with your family this CHRISTmas.
