Communication Skills in the News: Newt Gingrich

Last week I highlighted Herman Cain's speech directly answering the questions about the unfounded allegations of sexual misconduct.  While I admire the skills of Herman Cain as a speaker, Newt Gingrich is an excellent debater. Gingrich's vast experience and historical knowledge serves him well, but his ability to share that knowledge in a way that gets directly to the heart of the matter is simply masterful. x Gingrich Lectures combative debate moderator on rules of war  Newt Gingrich also has some baggage to overcome during the coming election, but his ability to speak directly and hold his own when asked the difficult and the "Gotcha" questions is far above any of the other Rebuplican candidates. I’d have to agree. He’s the best communicator of them all. Not sure who will end up getting the nomination at this point. Too early to tell, but it sure helps if they can communicate well and answer issues effectively.

I saw this a day or so ago. I’m not a huge Newt fan, but I love the way he went after that snotty moderator. And the smirk on that guy’s face? Newt slammed him back into that chair post haste. You may challenge him on his health care plans and foreign policy, but do NOT mess with this guy on history. He’s a college history professor, for pity’s sake! Stupid, stupid moderator trying to show he knows all. Hardy Har Har! I agree about the baggage he has and not sure he can overcome it; however, he is probably one of the best communicators in the line-up if not THE best.
