The legend of Foot in Mouth Man is a comical reminder to all of just how important communication skills can be in all areas of life. and FIMM Fans tell us that FIMM is so much fun that they are sitting down with their kidlings to use FIMM’s Faux Pas as a mini communication lesson!

  • JulieCC

Well, Mr. FIMM needs to take some grammar and punctuation lessons. He also needs to work on his tactfulness. He uses way too many words to say what he wants/needs to. He also needs to hire a proofreader, or at least have one other person read over anything he produces! Thankfully we has AOE and JoJo to help us not be like him!

When changing outside signs (like at the cleaners), make sure it makes sense.
When sending Christmas cards, make sure to put the gift (check, gift card) in with the card before mailing.

  • Bobbi

FIMM is lots of fun. Through his humorous adventures you can learn better communication (by way of what not to do). Also, you can learn the importance of proper spelling; for that matter, correct use of synonyms can be better understood too. So glad he’s around to learn the lessons for my children and me.

I think this video is a wonderful way to show my girls how the meanings of words and how they can be so easily misunderstood. I love the newspaper article about the desk. My husband laughed and said that sounded like something he would do. It took me explaining it to him to get the joke.
