What kind of confusion is most frustrating to YOU?

Ah, yes. Techie directions are the most frustrating to me.

I fall into the “Putting Slot A into Flap B” category. A set of directions can confound and confuzzle me to no end. Without pictures, that is. I am a VERY visual learner and need the dang pictures, right there with the words! I just got a new BlackBerry phone. This isn’t a joke. It honestly took me over an hour to figure out how to send a text message on it! I’ve been texting for a few years now, but NOT on a BlackBerry. I actually got so frustrated the phone attempted a maiden flight into the wall one night. . . but hit the hubby instead. He was not amused, but the phone is now usable AND. . . thanks to a good friend who found me an online tutorial where they put the pictures NEXT TO THE WORDS, I can actually do 3, maybe 4 functions on a phone with the capability to do thousands. Guess this one’ll keep me busy for the rest of my life, eh? :)

Thanks for sharing your frustrations, ladies! It’s been interesting to see what really frustrates different people. We can all learn from this to help us communicate more clearly.

I’m very good at directions (if they’re given to me correctly), but more than anything, I HATE putting things together—as you said Slot A goes into Slot B. I get very frustrated. Fortunately, I have a great son-in-law who is an expert at this!

Despite my blog post today (http://goaheadandwearthepurple.blogspot.com/2010/11/weekend.html) I really never get “lost” – I alwaysget where I need to go. And I can assemble anything by following directions. (You put Flap B into Slot A, btw :)
I think my communication confusion is mostley with the hubby. See, he’s from Texas and they speak a whole different language. Add to that my husband makes up his own words. You’d think after 30 years knowing the man I’d understand. But I don’t. And he doesn’t get me, either, so I guess we’re even.
