COVID19 Help Compliments of Art of Eloquence

Just a short note this month to share some blessings with you from our house to yours. Art of Eloquence would like to help families with young children/grandchildren who are at home during the coronavirus pandemic. We have decided to give away our most popular children's materials and FIMM's Meat & Grete game during this difficult time. They are all available for immediate download from the last menu tab on the top of the home page. Click here to see the titles and to order them free of charge during the COVID19 lockdown.  We are in prayer for those who have lost loved ones for peace and comfort and for those who are sick for a full recovery. Praying also...

Are you posting clickbait and don't know it? What you should know!

It's all over Facebook:   "Only genius can see this!" "What kind of dog are you" "Who's your celebrity look-alike?" "What your birth month says about you" "What will you look like at 100?"  "Can you spot the difference? Almost nobody can do this!" They seem like harmless fun but here are some reasons why you don't want to do this: First a Little Background:  Facebook has been systematically limiting the reach we have with our posts for years. That makes more work for fan page owners and group leaders who want to make sure their posts are shown to at least a significant...

Social Media: Sharing is Caring But Verifying is Essential

Last month I wrote about missing children reports shared on Facebook. This month I have something along those same lines. It's a good idea to read articles before you share them anyway. I have seen people post articles that actually say the exact opposite of what the title suggests. Make sure you know what you're sharing because it's not just the words you use and how you speak that communicates who you are to others, it's what you share on social media. If you share an article that you think is Pro-Life, but is actually in support of abortions, what will that say about you to your social media followers?  Another thing to look for is the source of the information you...

If it takes only seconds to share, please take a few seconds to verify!

PSA Regarding Missing Person Reports: Please check posts before you share! 99% of the "It Takes Only Seconds to Share" missing person reports I see shared on Facebook (especially for the very young children) have already been found (often LONG) before the post has been shared. While it takes only seconds to share, it also takes only seconds to click on the report to check for updates! Most missing person reports are updated once the person is found. There is usually an "UPDATE" at the very top of the article and often the title has even been changed to say, "FOUND," but for reasons I can't understand, Facebook's shared link somehow never reflects those changes. If you see them and...

Happy New Year Half OFF from Art of Eloquence!

2019 was a very strange year for Art of Eloquence. Facebook demoted me from admin on all my fan pages so I haven't been able to post on them since June. I spent the year adding diagnoses to my list and that meant more fatigued days. While I'm no longer writing weekly blog posts, I've already written on every communication subject I can think of that society is in need of mastering. It's all here. Whether you're a homeschooler needing to tackle shyness in your child or a speech and debate class or you are an adult just wanting to resolve some conflicts, you'll find what you need on this site! As it's January, the customary month for homeschoolers to...
