What are you Twitter Pet Peeves?

It’s Twitter Week here on Communication FUNdamentals because we are celebrating my upcoming podcast, Are You a Twitter Twit on the Communication Comedy Network.  Last week was Facebook Week and I began last week much the same as I will this week with your pet peeves.  So…  What are your Twitter Pet Peeves?  Here are mine…

My three top Twitter Pet Peeves are:

1. Folks with no info in their bio

2. Folks who post things like “Get 10k followers in 15 minutes!” and have 14 followers and no other tweets.

3. Folks who post things that make no sense.

I’ll be discussing the Twitter Pet Peeves more in depth on the show. I’ll also be discussing the differences between Facebook and Twitter and give you some Twitter Tips for better communication and connections on Twitter.

For more fun with Twitter, come share your thoughts on the live show!

  1. People who write about the color of their coffee. I reaaaally don’t care about such lovely details!

  2. Here are some of mine.

I agree totally with the “no bio” thing. People that are following others and trying to get followers, but have no tweets and no information about themselves, including no website.

I also don’t like it when I take the time to reply to other posts, trying to start conversations, and people just ignore you. They don’t bother to comment back. Sometimes it seems they are so busy trying to post about what they want to, that they really aren’t looking to connect.

  3. I am not a “twitter” fan – although I do have an account with about 70 followers or so. Don’t ever use it except to advertise that I wrote a new blog. I just don’t get it – and it doesn’t serve my purposes which are to connect with people and actually have interaction with them – very difficult on twitter. Nope – I’m a facebook gal.

  4. Twitter is much more complex than FB and yet simpler at the same time. You don’t get as many options but you connect alot faster with more people. That being said, not many options other than Tweeting a FB or Blogpost so I don’t view Twitter as a social media so much as it is a tool to connect with other social media. Does that make sense?

  5. That was the worst run-on sentence I’ve written in ages. LOL.

  6. I’ll be talking about the differences between Facebook and Twitter. I agree with BeckyJoie. It is so much easier to connect on Twitter but it is much easier to actually connect and carry on a relationship with folks on Facebook. I also find that most people on Facebook are looking to connect where as most people on Twitter are looking to get a message out to others.
