This week’s Friday Funny is brought to you by the word “monotone” and the number of times I had to record this to get it to sound that way!
This is an audio recording of Mona Tone demonstrating the need for vocal variety in your speech. Take it away Mona!
This has been a Communication FUNdamental! If this had been an actual communication emergency, you would have been directed to the Art of Eloquence website where you could learn more communication skills the creative and fun way!
LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!! Lots of fun and very different. Now we need to see Mona. I can hardly wait for the video. Gonna be a hoot-and-a-half!
Welcome, Mona! Glad to have you on board!
Thanks Carla and Kim. We’re actually working on a video of Mona. She’s just so excited…can’t you tell? LOLOL
Mona is a hoot! Great job, JoJo. :o)
Thanks Beth!
LOL! Great job, JoJo, and I can imagine how difficult that was. Yet, I still heard some tonal inflection. You came pretty close to the text-to-speech reader voice, though.
Very funny, Monatone. We do indeed get the point.
Thanks for the teaching experience, JoJo.
Thanks Peg and Jean Ann. I didn’t want it to be robotic but definitely boring! LOL
I love it – Miss Mona Tone!
Thanks Cindy. I had fun doing her voice. Working on a video of her. That’ll prove even more difficult.
Too cute, and very memorable.
Thanks, Sally! Glad you enjoyed her.
What a creative way to demonstrate vocal technique in speech. I love it!
what a beneficial study.
Cute! One good thing, I don’t know that I’ve ever been accused of monotone speaking.
