Miss USA's Not-So-Eloquent Answer

The questions they tend to ask of beauty pageant contestants are there to test their public speaking skills and ability to think on their feet.  This contestant didn't do so well. Question: If you could live forever, would you and why? Answer: "I would not live forever, because we should not live forever, because if we were supposed to live forever, then we would live forever, but we cannot live forever, which is why I would not live forever," --Miss Alabama in the 1994 Miss USA contest. Oh Wow!!! Did she really say that??? I never watch those pageants. Now I see why. Oh my – this is not good.

I saw that too! I knew she was nervous when she started off with her hands on her hips. Not an elegant position in a formal gown and one people often take when they are nervous. Thanks for posting the link.

But apparently Miss South Carolina’s speaking skills are better than my HTML skills. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qQdhMSEqhfg&feature=related

I think she did much better than Miss South Carolina.

LOL Melonie that’s a good point. While many politicians do this “Double Speak” dance on purpose, this young lady was just nervous and befuddled. In layman’s terms the way it turned out she was…“Just lucky I guess”! lol

I collect these things. In fact, my folks and my customers and even my newsletter subscribers send them to me!
