Who are you?

How it works: Each Monday I ask a thought provoking question about life.  Pose the same question to your blog readers on your own blog along with your answer to the question.  Then come back here and post a comment with a link to your blog post so we can all read everyone’s answers!  It’s been a lot of fun getting to know my readers and their readers and so on and so on… This week’s question: Who are you? JoJo’s Answer: This is a question you will hear in various forms throughout your life.  It's probably a good question to ponder and to find a wiz-bang answer to so let's take this opportunity.  And as we do, let's get to know each other better. You may be asked this question for many different reasons.  On a job interview, one of the most popular tell-tale questions is "Tell me about yourself".  It's also something they ask you on college interviews.  Additionally, you may be asked this question by a customer, a new friend, a neighbor, a teacher, etc. This question can come in many forms:
  • Who are you?
  • What do you do for a living?
  • Tell me about yourself. (Which, I guess, really is a statement.)
  • What do you do?
  • What are your hobbies?
  • What do you like to do?
The answer to this question not only varies from person to person but from reason to reason.  It depends upon who is asking and why they are asking. I've been asked what do I do often because some people recognize my name from Art of Eloquence or my picture from my blog.  In this case I usually say that I am an author and a speaker on communication skills and I might add that I am the owner of Art of Eloquence.com.  I sometimes receive a Facebook question about a friend request that simply says, "Who are you?".  In that case I am someone who loves to connect with other homeschoolers and fellowship with other Christians. Occasionally I am asked to tell someone about myself in the course of getting to know someone like a new neighbor.  Here I am usually a child of God, a homeschool mom of two, wife of 22 years and a lover of humor, singer of songs and a goofball by nature. Who are you ? Post your answers on your blog and come back here and put your link in so we can read it!  If you don’t have a blog, just post your answers here. Who am I? It does depend on who is asking the question.

To my husband, I am his wife of almost 25 yrs. To my kids, I am “the mom” who is there to help them any way I can.

To my doggie, I am the one he follows around and feels secure around. I am also a source of food and bathroom need relief:-)

To my online friends, I am the owner of Christian Home Business Connection.

I guess we all wear many hats, but who we really are is God’s child – all the time.
