The studies are designed to be used by parent/teachers who have little or no training in speech or communication skills. Furthermore, all the prep work is done for you. Each week a new topic is introduced which builds upon the prior week's material. Parents and teachers can just pick up the book and begin teaching a lesson with virtually no prep time!

What is your return policy?

If for any reason you are not satisfied with your Art of Eloquence product, return it within 30 days of receipt, accompanied by a copy of your invoice. You will be refunded the purchase price of the merchandise. Shipping costs are non-refundable. Products must be in resalable condition. We're sorry, but we cannot offer refunds if products show any of the following problems:

* Signs of use
 
* Missing or torn pages
 
* Bent corners or creased pages
 
* Scratched or marked cover
 
* Obvious odors (such as cooking odors or cigarette smoke) 

* Personalized products (unless the return is for personalization errors made by Art of Eloquence)

* Exceeded 30-day limit

Why is it important to study communication skills from a Christian perspective? 

When I received my degree in Speech Communication from a secular college, I thought I had received a good education.  And I did.  The Speech Communication department was one of the best in the country at the time.  However, when I became a Christian, I discovered that God's Word was ripe with hundreds of scriptures about how we should communicate with one another.   This greatly enhanced my understanding of communication skills. 

I have been approached a few times with a contract to provide hundreds of studies for the secular community if I would just "take the God parts out".  The Lord invented communication and the study of communication is greatly enhanced when done from a Biblical perspective.  Teaching communication skills without including the Lord is like teaching the about automobiles without including Henry Ford. 

Why are communication skills especially important for Christians?

The Lord must think communication skills and important issue because there are hundreds and hundreds of scriptures telling us how we should communicate with each other.  Not everything is mentioned in the Bible, but something mentioned this many times should be studied, Amen?

The world is becomming more secular every day.  It thinks of Christians as intolerant and asks us to be quiet about our faith and our values.  It is increasingly difficult for Christians to feel comfortable enough to discuss what they believe, yet the Lord makes it clear we are to share the Good News and be ready to give an answer to those who would question us.  More communication skill is required today than ever before in order to be ready to answer in grace.   

How are these books shipped within the U.S.?

All U.S. orders are shipped Priority Mail for a flat rate of only $4.80 no matter how much you order! 

How much is International Shipping (outside of the U.S.)?

All international orders are shipped either Global Priority Mail (up to 4lbs) or Air Parcel (over 4lbs) for a flat rate. Canada and Mexico is $9.95. All other countries are $11.95.  Global Priority arrives within 3-6 days of shipping.  Air Parcel takes between 4 and 10 days.   

How are the e-books delivered? In what format?

The e-books are delivered as a downloadable link that is generated when you fully complete the order (as stated in red on the product page) and arrives in PDF format.

What happened to the EduKits?

The EduKits were fabric covers with pockets used to hold an Art of Eloquence study, some crayons, pencils, stickers and any papers.  Unfortunately they became difficult to obtain and expensive to produce so they were discontinued. 

I purchased an eBook but I didn't get the download.

If you do not click through all the way to the end of the transaction as it is stated in red on the product page, you will not trigger the email that will include your download link.  When we receive notification of an order, we do check to see if the eBook orders are accompanied by a download notification.  If we do not receive a notification that the download was sent, we will usually ask you if you have received one and offer to send your eBook to you manually as a PDF email attachment. 

Do you have volume discounts for co ops or regular classes?

Yes.  Even larger families can take advantage of our volume discounts.  If you order multiple copies of a single title, you will not only get a volume discount as shown below, but you will receive a free copy for the teacher/parent to make teaching larger classes easier!  Anything over 5 studies of the same title qualifies for a free teacher/parent copy!

Why isn't there a teacher's edition or manual?

There is no need of a teacher's manual for our courses.  Each study is ready to teach just by picking it up and reading along with your child.  Communication skills are learned by doing not by memorization of facts and figures.  The parent/teacher is provided in many cases with any charts or other grading tools needed, but the improvements are easily seen and measured if you follow the study.  We saw no need to increase the cost of our courses by writing a separate manual for the teacher/parent. 

May I make copies of an Art of Eloquence study for use in a classroom setting or do I need each student to have his own book?

Most Art of Eloquence courses are consumable.  Each student will need his own study in order to make the most of the course.  Although copyright law does say you may not make copies of works (curricula included), we do allow families to make copies of our studies for their own use.  Please do not make copies for other homeschooling families, for co op classes or to scan and put up on the internet. 

What version of the Bible is used by Art of Eloquence studies?

We use the King James Version for all Bible quotes in our Say What You Mean studies. 

What happened to the Know Your Audience Game?

Unfortunately the supplies and game pieces for the game became difficult to obtain and the game was time consuming and expensive to produce so they were discontinued.
