Say What You Mean: Defending the Faith!
Up to 59% of Christian college students will denounce their faith before they graduate four years later. An overwhelming percentage of college professors admit to being liberal and many are anti-Christian who allow these attitudes to permeate classwork assignments and participation! Studies show that it isn't enough to KNOW God's Word, our children must be able to ARTICULATE it! Even good Christian students have a hard time holding their own with these articulate college professors who hold their grades over their heads! This is why I wrote Say What You Mean: Defending the Faith. This 18 week study teaches teens and adults to answer the most common questions and misconceptions about the Christian faith in grace. God commands us to share the Good News but He also warns us to speak in grace to a world that rejects Him. It is more a complicated world and growing more secular all the time. There is no one size fits all way to share and defend the faith these days. Say What You Mean: Defending the Faith is the only Apologetics course to actually train you HOW to communicate God's Word and tailor your message to each individual! This course is vital if your children are going to attend college or going into the secular workforce! I have a degree in Speech Communication, over 20 years of experience in the field and have been writing communication courses for five years. I have intimate knowledge of how unbelievers see Christians. I help my students avoid the communication mistakes that often cause unbelievers to back away and build a wall between them and the Lord instead of bringing them closer to Him! "This is such a needed class and I can see how easily both boys are learning some of the ways to respond (and ways not to respond) to some of the common things people say. I can see how they are understanding their faith in new, deeper ways and making their faith their own. This class has also helped to facilitate discussion in our family around the dinner table. You have a way of presenting things in a straight forward way that is so understandable.Thank you JoJo" -Marcie, Homeschooling mom of two
Say What You Mean for Preschoolers
Engaging two to three year Christian-based program that grows with your 2-5 year-old child. This study is also perfect for children who are not yet ready for our elementary study. The various activities appeal to different learning styles and levels. Preschool is the best time to begin teaching communication skills-before the fears set in. Use as a homeschool study or as a supplement. " The Say What You Mean For Preschoolers is excellent! My son (although at first grade is past preschool JoJo has done a wonderful job with the study, making it fun for my son and also easy to remember the specific lessons. We are now enjoying the tongue twisters!" Jill Lee
Christian-based, 18 week (one semester) course is a companion to Say What You Mean for Kids or Say What You Mean for Teens that makes a full year of effective communication skills (grades 2-12) It teaches listening and persuasion as well as a bit about entreprenurial success! It is one of our most popular studies because it is just so much fun! Students create a product/service (the more outrageous the better!) and then learn to present their invention to different audiences using different methods of communication. (kindergarten class, radio address, interview, board meeting with Mr IM Boss!) " JoJo Tabares -- I can't tell you how impressed I am with your series! I ordered them to preview them for my students at our cottage school. I LOVE THESE BOOKS! I was a communications major a loooooooooooong time ago in undergrad school (Music Theater to be exact) and I cannot say enough about how pleased I am with the content of your books. I think they should be required courses for every home school and Christian School! Way to go!!!!!" Karla Akins, D. Ch. Ed. http:/LibertyScholars.com
